1 (1)

A fixed bolt is a common mechanical connector used to fasten two or more components together to prevent relative movement.

Fixed bolts are usually composed of a head and a screw. The shapes of the head are diverse, such as hexagonal, round, square, etc., to facilitate tightening operations with tools. The screw has threads and is used in conjunction with a nut to achieve fastening.

Its materials are diverse, including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc., to adapt to different working environments and strength requirements.

Fixed bolts can be classified into national standards (GB), international standards (ISO), American standards (ANSI), German standards (DIN), etc.

When using fixed bolts, it is necessary to select appropriate bolt specifications, strength grades, and surface treatment methods based on factors such as the material, stress conditions, and working environment of the connecting components to ensure the reliability and safety of the connection.

Installation method:

1. Preparation work: Select appropriate specifications and strength of fixing bolts, and prepare the necessary tools such as wrenches, sockets, etc.

2. Clean the contact surface: Remove debris, oil stains, and rust from the bolt installation area and the contact surface of the connecting components to ensure that the contact surface is clean and flat.

3. Align components: Align the components that need to be connected accurately to align the bolt holes.

4. Inserting bolts: Thread the bolts through the bolt holes of the connecting components.

5. Install the nut: Tighten the nut on the other end of the bolt, but do not fully tighten it.

6. Preliminary tightening: Use a wrench to gradually and evenly tighten the nuts in a certain order (such as diagonally crossing) for preliminary tightening.

7. Final tightening: According to the specifications and requirements of the bolt, use a torque wrench or other suitable tool to tighten the nut to the specified torque value to ensure a firm tightening.

Dismantling method:

1. Prepare tools: Choose appropriate tools such as wrenches, sockets, or screwdrivers based on the specifications and position of the bolts.

2. Loosen the nut: Use a tool to rotate the nut counterclockwise. If the nut is rusted or tightened tightly, you can spray some loosening agent first to help loosen it.

3. Remove the nut: Continuously rotate the nut counterclockwise until it is completely removed from the bolt.

4. Remove the bolt: If the bolt is not subjected to too much resistance, it can be directly extracted from the connecting component. If the bolt gets stuck, gently tap the bolt head or use a tool to carefully pry it out.

When installing and removing fixing bolts, pay attention to safety to avoid injury caused by improper operation. At the same time, for some special bolts, such as high-strength bolts, there may be stricter requirements for their installation and disassembly, and relevant technical specifications need to be followed.
